Emma Emmanuel LLM is a passionate UK based qualified Coach & Mentor and a dual-qualified Barrister & Solicitor specialised in Human Rights Law. She is an Author, Lecturer, Fellow-Higher Education Advance, certified Restorative Justice Facilitator, Mental Health First Aid Practitioner, a former Crown Prosecutor and mother of four.
Following a personal healing experience, she authored the workbook ‘Emotional Detox– A Practical 3 Day Process To Healing From Emotional Pain’. Using the strategy in the book as a tool, she started the Emotional Detox Program© as a complementary therapy to support and coach people post emotional trauma.
Emma has worked extensively with vulnerable victims of crime giving them practical & emotional support, and as a Restorative Justice Facilitator. Her experience includes working in several advisory roles in Human Rights related matters, representing refugees & asylum seekers in a Legal capacity up to Appeal stage, as a Domestic Abuse Lead also having several years of experience in coaching, mentoring and delivering Personal Growth & Development Training in the education sector, for charities and public sector departments. Emma has spoken at several events on this healing tool such as at the UN Women’s 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence event, addressing delegates from the Police, Safe-guarding, Domestic Abuse and Human Rights Charities.
Due to her professional background, Emma understands the importance of client confidentiality in her work.
When Emma is not running Emotional Detox sessions, delivering a training program, running a MAK! event or supervising Human Rights Law students at a UK University, she is reading a book or attending a dance class somewhere!
